Concern is growing more and more around the situation of Christian Atsu. The player is missing after the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
Ghanaian international Christian Atsu, a former Chelsea and Newcastle player, is among those missing in the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. On Tuesday, the Ghanaian embassy in Turkey and the Ghanaian football federation had however assured that the attacker had been found alive in the rubble of a collapsed building.

However, this Wednesday, the Hatayspor club in which the player evolves says he has no information about the player’s state of health. “The news I have is not good, he has not yet been found under the rubble”said the coach of the Turkish club, Volkan Demirel, in an audio message sent to AFP. “It is a very distressing situation. He is still missing. The club can’t find him among all the hospitals. Everyone is trying to locate the medical center where he might be”specifies for his part to the same source Gaynor Fascione, Christian Atsu’s image agent.

Following this tragedy, another footballer has already died. This is Eyup Türkaslan, goalkeeper of Yeni Malatyaspor (Turkish L2), club from the city of Malatya.
