Unrecognizable for a few weeks, Stephen Curry has finally found his superb against the Rockets, this Monday. He also signed something never seen before for him, and joined a prestigious cast in the history of the league!
How better to start the month of February than by concluding that of January with an excellent note? Steph Curry obviously knows the answer. Incredibly clumsy since the start of 2022 (21.1 average points, 36.9% shooting, 31.3% at 3 points), the Warriors star point guard delivered a performance much more worthy of his standards against Houston on Monday.
Not really keen on the first part of the meeting, the Chef received an astonishing boost at the dawn of the fourth quarter, which triggered its eruption. The Rockets obviously paid the price, with 21 points planted by Steph in the final period! A blow of heat to which he had no longer accustomed the fans, and which allowed his franchise to chain a 6th consecutive victory (122-108).
Steph Curry in the gratin of all-time scoring
This sudden awakening of Curry, expected for days in Golden State, even turned out to be historic for him!
Stephen Curry’s 21 points are his most in the 4th quarter of any regular-season game in his career.
His only 4th quarter with more points was in Game 6 of the 2019 Western Conference Semifinals (23). pic.twitter.com/JhTw0UHuhG

The 21 points scored by Stephen Curry in the 4th quarter against the Rockets is his highest career total in the last 12 minutes of a regular season game.
His only 4th most prolific quarter dates back to Game 6 of the 2019 Western Conference Semifinals, during which he scored 23 points.
Better still, it allowed Curry to put his name in place of that of the illustrious Bernard King on the league shelves. Indeed, with his 19,656 career points, the double MVP now stands as the 50th best scorer in the history of the league! 49th place, owned by John Stockton, already seems within reach, since Baby-Face only needs 55 units to reach it!
After a good month of trouble, Monday evening was decidedly perfect for Steph Curry. More than an outstanding shooter, the Chef can now be considered an all-time elite scorer!
