To launch the Top 16 of the Champions League, Strasbourg went for a narrow victory on the floor of Rytas Vilnius (71-76).
After snatching his qualification against PAOK Salonika, Strasbourg did not miss their debut in the Top 16 of the Champions League on the floor of Rytas Vilnius. A meeting that the players of Lassi Tuovi started well but, despite a delay of six points, the Lithuanians were able to pick up. Finding their game, the Alsatians took the lead at the end of the first quarter before clearly leading the race until half-time, reached with an eleven point lead for the SIG.
However, Ivan Buva’s teammates (20 points, 7 rebounds) were not left behind any further on the return to the floor. Returning to eight points with ten minutes still to play, Rytas Vilnius made Strasbourg even more doubt with a 9-0 to start the fourth quarter and go ahead. The match then became a crossover between the two teams, with the gap no longer exceeding three points. However, the SIG was then able to count on John Roberson (16 points) to get a victory of five points (71-76) and its first success on Lithuanian soil.
