The young Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Yannis Lagha has been called to the French and Algerian U18s as the two teams have to face each other at Clairefontaine.
The situation is funny to say the least. While the French under-18 team must face its Algerian counterpart on October 9 and 12 at Clairefontaine, Yannis Lagha has been called up by the two teams.
The young midfielder of Olympique Lyonnais was indeed called by Lionel Rouxel, the coach of the Bleuets, as well as by his Algerian counterpart, who was forced to retain only elements evolving in Europe given the Covid and the health constraints for travel.
The young Rhone player will have to decide and Algeria can be confident. Yannis Lagha has indeed evolved among the Algerian U17s at the beginning of the year, participating in the qualification of young Fennecs for the CAN.
