The end of the wait is near for science fiction enthusiasts with access to the Apple TV + SVOD service. From September 24, they will be able to watch the first three episodes of the Foundation series, adapted from the work of Isaac Asimov.
A few days before the release, Apple uploaded a new video, in which we see images of the series, but also short interventions by David Goyer, executive producer, Jared Harris, who plays Dr. Hari Sheldon seeking to saving humanity, by Lee Pace (Brother Day), and Leah Harvey (Salvor Hardin). Overall, all praise the huge ambition of the series, which has the daunting task of successfully adapting one of the most important works of science fiction. A real challenge, as the basic material is complex.
According to the executive producer, Foundation has influenced all production of the genre, from Star Wars to Dune. Recall that the series will follow the adventures of Dr. Hari Sheldon, who predicts the end of the Galactic Empire and the fall of humanity. To avoid this dire fate, he has put together a plan spanning an entire millennium, the goal of which is to enable our species to rebuild and avoid a dark age of 30,000 years.
