News culture The Lord of the Rings: Soon good news for the music of the Amazon series?
Announced a long time ago but recently dated September 2, 2022, Amazon’s series focused on the Second Age of Middle-earth is still very mysterious. While waiting to learn more about the story and the characters, good news is potentially on the way.
Taking us “from the dark depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elven capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor to the most remote corners of the map”, the Amazon series could indeed mark the return of the composer of the two trilogies of Peter Jackson. According to Deadline, Howard Shore, who still won 3 Oscars for his work on The Fellowship of the Ring and The king’s return, would be in negotiation with Amazon to take care of the music from the Serie.
Far from being limited to The Lord of the Rings, Howard Shore works on Le Hobbit, Le Silence des Agneux, Aviator, Pieces Of A Woman or infiltrators. For its part, the shooting of the first season, of which the budget would be $ 465 million, would already be finished. Post-production is currently taking place in New Zealand, while pre-production for the second season is expected to debut in the UK early next year.
The upcoming Amazon Studios series will carry heroic Second Age legends in Middle-earth history for the very first time. This epic drama takes place thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings books by JRR Tolkien, and will take viewers to an era where great powers have been forged, where kingdoms have found glory and then ruin, where unexpected heroes have been tried, where hope has stood by the finest of threads, and where the greatest villain who ever came out of Tolkien’s pen threatened to plunge the world into darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows a set of characters, familiar and new, as they face the long-feared return of evil to Middle-earth, shows us the synopsis.
