Apple’s new iPhone 13 smartphones hit the market starting September 24. 4 models are available, with a lot of common points but also some differences. Let’s do a check in.
Apple presented this week, during its traditional keynote in September, its “2021/2022” collection of iPhone 13. There are again four models, at prices ranging from 809 euros to 1259 euros. So we have: iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. 4 smartphones that share a lot in common, but also some differences. As a reminder, the iPhone 13 range is in pre-order for availability on September 24.

60 and 120 Hz OLED screens
Quite clearly, this is a year of transition for the iPhone. These new iPhone 13 are indeed a lot of iPhone 12, including the design. On the screen side, the real novelty is the arrival of 120 Hz, which remains reserved for the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Called “ProMotion” by Apple, the 120 Hz here is adaptive and will change depending on the content viewed, in order to save battery. The autonomy of these four iPhones should also be at least a day, a little more on the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which has a larger capacity battery.
A new very powerful A15 Bionic chip
The four new iPhone 13s feature Apple’s latest mobile chip, called A15 Bionic. It takes over from the A14 Bionic of the iPhone 12 and promises to be once again very powerful. It incorporates a CPU with 6 cores, as well as a GPU with 4 cores. The iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max are even entitled to a power boost, since the GPU part displays 5 cores. Enough to run greedy games without batting an eyelid and take full advantage of the 120 Hz screen. Added to this is the Neural Engine chip, dedicated to artificial intelligence. The latter is used for Siri or the software processing of photos.
Moreover, speaking of photos, we note the presence of a mechanical stabilizer for the wide-angle sensor of the iPhone 13 and 13 mini, which should further improve the accuracy of the images, especially in night mode. The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, meanwhile, are entitled to a third photo sensor on the back, including a telephoto lens with x3 zoom.
New storage options
It is also interesting to note that this year, the different models of iPhone 13 move up in storage space. There is no longer a 64 GB version and we start at 128 GB. The iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 mini can go up to 512 GB. The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, meanwhile , can even accommodate 1TB of storage space. A first for the iPhone.

The new iPhone 13s are available for pre-order for availability on Friday, September 24. The prices remain unchanged compared to the iPhone 12 when it was released:
