News culture Venom: director of the film confides in the appearance of Spider-Man
Very soon, Venom Let There Be Carnage will be released on the big screen and will introduce, as the name suggests, Carnage. But what about Spider-Man? The director of the film speaks about it and for him, the future will allow the famous meeting.
A few years after the film Venom, a real box office hit with $ 856 million at the box office, the symbiote is about to do it again with a second feature film titled Venom Let There Be Carnage, introducing the mythical villain Cletus Kasady. Sony’s Spider-Verse therefore continues to expand, soon to welcome Morbius, another emblematic enemy of the Spider. Only here, it is precisely our dear Peter Parker who is missing in this universe of which he is, however, at the base, the main cog.
an inevitable clash between Venom and Spider-Man
If Spider-Man should not (a priori) appear in Venom 2, its director Andy Serkis does not see it in the same eye for future works. Asked by IGN, the one we also know to play Gollum expressed his enthusiasm on the meeting of the two characters.
Listen, this is the question on everyone’s lips. They want to know if Venom is going to meet Spider-Man, but personally I would say that will never happen … No, I’m kidding, of course this will all happen. (…) It’s gonna depend on what people want, if they want more Venom stories. Otherwise, we could be missing out on so many great characters and villains.
According to Andy Serkis, the battle between Spider-Man and Venom should therefore take place, for sure. As a reminder, due to the contract between Sony, Disney and Tom Holland, the latter will play one last time in the MCU with No Way Home (scheduled for December 15) before being repatriated in the spider-verse initiated by Venom. A happy mess that raises many questions …
