It’s been ten years since the animated film adaptation of Batman Year One was released. To celebrate this anniversary, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has decided to give a second life to the feature film.
Extremely well received, the film adaptation of Batman Year One, which tells the story of the first year of activity of the Dark Knight will therefore return very soon in the form of a Commemorative Edition. From December 8, it will be possible to obtain the new animated film version on Blu-Ray, remastered in 4K, for 15 euros, and with a lot of bonuses. On the disc, spectators will find the film, audio commentary Alan Burnett, Sam Liu, Mike Carlin and Andrea Romano. In addition, they will be entitled to several featurettes. The first, entitled Reinventing Gordon, will come back to the different interpretations of Commissioner James Gordon. An extract will also be broadcast at DC FanDome 2021 on October 16 next. The other two are Conversations with DC Comics and Heart of Vengeance : Returning Batman to his Roots.
But Warner does not stop there, since we will also find trailers for Batman: Soul of the Dragon, both parts of Batman: A Long Halloween, as well as the DC Showcase: Catwoman of 2011. So there is plenty to do, especially for those who want discover the work of Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli in this format.
