Game news Darkest Dungeon 2: a date given for the continuation of the excellent tactical
Darkest Dungeon 2 was announced in 2019 while its early access is expected since last year for this end of the year. The developers of Red Hook Games have even provided more details since they have specified the date of this early access.
Indirect sequel to Darkest Dungeon with a similar but revamped combat system, Darkest Dungeon II will be playable on October 26 in Early Access (before its official release) on the Epic Games Store. It is the official Twitter page of the game which announced it last night on the social network:

The developers say they have overhauled the combat and exploration system based on titles roguelite comme Hades, Slay the Spire et Faster Than Light : each region of the world to explore is divided into paths that lead to clashes, encounters or treasures as the storyline evolves as you progress.
The first opus had seduced the press (84/100 on Metacritic) and the public: Red Hook Games reported last month of 5 million units distributed. A success justified by the mastery of turn-based Red Hook Games, a universe of dark fantasy licked and a demand at all times: each recruited character who dies in combat is lost permanently.
While waiting for the upcoming arrival of Darkest Dungeon II on the Epic Games Store, it is always possible to have a taste of the universe offered by Red Hook Games with its first episode: it is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, iOS, and PS Vita.
