The Nice-Olympique de Marseille meeting, interrupted at the end of August after the invasion of the Allianz-Riviera, will be replayed on October 27. Only three days after Olympique de Marseille-PSG.
Nice and theOM are fixed ! The match of the 3rd day of Ligue 1 between the two clubs, interrupted in August due to the throwing of bottles on the lawn and the invasion of the field, has been rescheduled for next October 27 (9 p.m., on Amazon Prime Video). As a reminder, the match will be replayed in its entirety, behind closed doors, and on neutral ground. “The place of the meeting will be determined later”, will be communicated later.
The date chosen is not surprising. It was quite simply the first available, due to Olympique de Marseille’s participation in the Europa League. But the timing is far from ideal for the Phocéens, who will have two tense matches to play in the space of a few days. Three days before returning to Nice, for a reunion that promises to be electric, Jorge Sampaoli’s men will have to face Paris Saint-Germain at the Stade Vélodrome.
This sequence of three Ligue 1 matches in one week, adding the trip to Clermont the following weekend Nice-Olympique de Marseille which will not be obvious, will intervene between a double confrontation against Lazio in the Europa League. In general, apart from international breaks, Olympique de Marseille will play two games per week each week until December 15.
Which therefore gives:
Thursday October 21 – Lazio / Olympique de Marseille
Sunday October 24 – Olympique de Marseille / PSG
Wednesday October 27 – Nice / Olympique de Marseille
October 30/31 – Clermont / Olympique de Marseille
Thursday November 4 – Marseille / Lazio
