Dune: a generous making-of for the next highly anticipated film by Denis Villeneuve (Blade Runner 2049)

News culture Dune: a generous making-of for the next highly anticipated film by Denis Villeneuve (Blade Runner 2049)

In a few days, Dune will finally be released in theaters. A real boon for all science fiction enthusiasts since it is a monument of the genre, resulting from literature but which has also already experienced a first adaptation some time ago.

When we talk about the next Dune, excitement is in order. It must be said that its director saw things in a big way and is not just anyone since it is about Denis Villeneuve, the man behind Blade Runner 2049, Premier Contact or even Sicario. For this new adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel, originally published in 1965, the cast looks promising: Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Jason Momoa and Rebecca Ferguson will be there.

As for the budget allocated to transcribe this extraordinary futuristic world, needless to say that Legendary Pictures has deployed the great means. The production has just released a making-of of almost five minutes, allowing the different actors to review their character and the director to also touch a few words. The opportunity to admire some impressive sequences, the artistic direction proving to say the least polished and particularly mastered. Note that the critics are, for the moment, quite rave about the press. Everything we wanted to hear.

So here we are even more impatient: Dune will be released on September 14 in theaters. Moreover, a chapter 2 is, normally, already envisaged.
